Sarà trasmessa da Sky e andrà in streaming su NOW, in esclusiva per l’Italia, la diretta dei 78esimi EMMY AWARDS, gli ambitissimi premi al meglio della TV americana. Condotta da Mariska Hargitay (star di Law & Order – Unità Vittime Speciali) dal Peacock Theater di Los Angeles, la cerimonia di consegna delle prestigiose statuette sarà visibile su Sky Atlantic nella notte tra lunedì 14 e martedì 15 settembre: all’1.00 avrà inizio il pre-show che condurrà al red carpet, per poi arrivare alla cerimonia di premiazione, in onda dalle 2 di notte.
Emmy Awards 2026 – La diretta
Anche quest’anno, tra i protagonisti delle nomination agli Emmy figurano tante delle serie disponibili su Sky e in streaming su NOW. Tra queste All Her Fault, l’avvincente thriller Sky Exclusive sulla misteriosa scomparsa di un bambino, candidato come miglior miniserie tra le sette candidature complessive, incluse quelle per Sarah Snook e Dakota Fanning rispettivamente come migliore attrice protagonista e non protagonista in una miniserie. Riflettori puntati anche su The Gilded Age, il period drama HBO ambientato nell’alta società newyorkese di fine Ottocento e ideato da Julian Fellowes, in corsa per il titolo di miglior serie drammatica e candidato anche con Carrie Coon come migliore attrice protagonista. A queste categorie si aggiunge la nomination per la miglior regia in una serie drammatica – titolo che dovrà contendersi con Task, il crime drama creato da Brad Ingelsby che segue una task force dell’FBI sulle tracce di una pericolosa rete criminale, candidato quest’anno anche con Mark Ruffalo come miglior attore protagonista e Tom Pelphrey come non protagonista.
Fra le produzioni che hanno maggiormente catalizzato l’attenzione dei votanti degli Emmys anche Euphoria, drama generazionale ma anche una delle serie più apprezzate e influenti degli ultimi anni, che conquista candidature per Zendaya come miglior attrice protagonista e Colman Domingo come miglior attore guest in una serie drama. E ancora IT: Welcome to Derry, la serie HBO che riporta gli spettatori nella cittadina di Derry e nell’universo horror nato dalla penna di Stephen King, aggiudicatasi le nomination per i migliori effetti speciali visivi. Nella stessa categoria trova spazio anche The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, disponibile in esclusiva su Sky e NOW, nuovo capitolo dell’iconica saga post-apocalittica.
